Analysis:
What can I see?
The genre of the art is portraiture. I can see that the artist has drawn on a picture of the singer Rihanna and has made her look more cartoon like also the artist has used really bright colours to make the black she is wearing to stand out more with the cartoons on her top. The artist has also used bright and dark colours as the background to make the doodling stand out.
Feeling & Mood.
This portraiture makes me feel that its lively and upbeat picture why I picked this picture is because it has one of my favourite singers Rihanna also its a very stand out picture it shows a creative of a person that never really showed there talent. Its a very interesting picture because of the way she has really detailed Rihanna's face mostly her right eye.
Composition.
The composition has a flat shape, The focal point is the cartoon drawn eye on Rihanna. I look here first here because it looks like an illusion magician do as a trick next I look at the cartoon heart hanging down from her braid because it makes it look funny and gives youngers kids a smile. The artist lines the main elements of the composition to rule of thirds. On the left vertical Rule Of Thirds line the artist position the a/ reflection on the right vertical rule of thirds.
Light & Tone.
The Light is coming from the direction of both sides of her face. I know this because when you look at the picture you see the light is coming in the centre of her face making it shine and standing out the cartoons on her face. The highlighted areas are the background and the sides they have been tonally shaded I n very light tones to reflect the light. The dark tones have been used to give the surrounding of the the picture a dark side to the tonally lighted areas.
Texture & Pattern.
The artist uses rough patterns on the picture this adds interest to the piece and makes it look really hard and cold this makes the foreground stand out then the background. The artist uses different textures such as a light soft background to make it stand out with the light shaded colours used.
